Forget airline miles – they never amount to more than 1% cash back.
They are hard to redeem and you can’t get the cheap prices you see in travelocity – you pay their current rate for trips (much higher)
Article after article out there on how these cards are a bad deal
Opinion of best cash back cards:
Chase Freedom 5% cash back on quarterly categories and 1% cash back all year on everything else
Capital One Cash Rewards: 1.5% cash back on all purchases
Both cards have no annual fee, and you might get a $100 sign in bonus
Do not dare carry balances on either of these two cards.
They have extremely high interest rates.
Even if they say 0% apr, anything, even a late payment can wipe out that 0% apr
Pay them in full each month – by doing this, you also get amazing credit scores
Chase is a good one for earning points, they give you one point per dollar and you can get gift cards, gas cards, etc.
Delta Gold is a good one to earn Sky Miles and they give you 10,000 when you open a account and then one mile per dollar spent.
