I received a letter from a 3rd party firm telling me I have a dividend from a bankruptcy settlement. I have the bankruptcy case no (95-01682) and the company, Pidgeon’s Home Furnishings. I don’t want to pay the 3rd party’s fees since I expect that I should be able to go directly and get the money just like the 3rd party company. Anyone know how to go about this?

My husband makes too much money so I don’t get any financial aid and our credit is really bad so I can’t take out a personal loan… any suggestions? Is there any place that would give me a loan? And i’ve tried scholarships.. that doesn’t work either. I could pay for it out of my pocket but I wouldn’t be able to take but one class at at time and I dont want to do that. Any advice…? Thanks!

I was recently awarded a money judgment by the Federal Bankruptcy court in NJ. On a previous money judgment that I was awarded in county court, I’ve enforced the judgment by going through the county court system beginning with sending an information subpoena to the debtor and eventually attaching to his bank account. I would like to send an information subpoena to my current debtor but I do now know how to start this process with a judgment from a federal court. Is there a way to still go through the county system to enforce the judgment?
The judgment is against an individual not a company.

I am going to file bankruptcy on everything that I own. I recently bought furniture and bought it from “in store credit.” So my question is will the furniture company come and get the furniture that I still owe on? Do I get to keep it? I sold one piece of furniture that I owe on what will happen with that?
