Bad Credit Mortgage Archives

My husband and I make about $70k a year, credit scores are 562 & 542, we are looking at a house listed for $80k with no down payment, can we qualify for an FHA mortgage?
I don’t really need a lecture on repairing credit, we are already in process of paying off all of our bad debt and an $80k mortgage would be CHEAPER than what we are paying in rent.

My partner has bad credit history, from about 5 years ago.
We want to buy a flat together, will this stop us getting a mortgage? we need each others income.

Please someone tell us!

I’ve just got past the moratoruim period on a debt relief order (1 year) which will be on my credit file for another 5 years so I am now ok to earn higher wages.

My nan has offered to pay £50,000 on a deposit on a flat costing £100,000.

Will I be accepted for a mortgage if I am working?

If not, would my nan have to buy the house in her name? How long would it take of me working steadily before I can have it transfered over into my name? (if my credit file allows it) And, would this bump up costs with solicitors fee’s?

Or may it be ok to have it my name, soon as my nan is paying £50,000 upfront?

We live in CA. I live with my father in law and we are in need to apply for refinance w/ cash out. However, he is retired, has excellent credit, but only makes about $50k a year with combined pensions and social security. The bank was only willing to give him $350k and we actually need $390k. They said the only way they’d allow him the $390k is if I cosign. I have terrible terrible credit (a couple of car repos, late payments, behind on taxes, etc…). The bank told him they would just really like my income there (I make $60k a year), but I’m afraid if I cosign for him, it would only hurt his chances for a loan. By the way the house is worth about $550k in the current market.

Thanks for your feedback.

eta: Thanks for the replies. Another question. I really don’t want to explain my situation to him unless I really need to. Can the bank(s) discuss my information with him without my consent?

hi, I have a really poor credit history and have been looking at options to get a mortgage, my partner and I have been down to speak with the bank but they wont accept us, what other options could I try?

I’m looking at cheap foreclosures where I live. Many are $12,000 or less. I have bad credit but with a large down payment like $5000 or $6000 can I get one of these even with bad credit? I know nothing about this, all answers/info are appreciated.

okay, so i have bad credit, but have alot of money. and i my boyfriend an i are looking at buying a house. i am having trouble getting preaproved. my boyfriend has good credit but no “proof” of a job because he works under the table. so my question is does anyone know like a good company to go thorugh that will work with me becuase i don’t have the best credit?

My credit is bad but I’d like to buy home. I’m paying rent and I should be paying a morgage for the price is less per month.

Where should I go to and what do I need to get approved?
